Trondheim Municipality are planning a new housing initiative for young adults with mental health and substance abuse problems in Ranheim/Grilstad in Trondheim. There is a shortage of housing for this group in the municipality. The housing initiative will offer housing training, so that the residents can practice living independently while being followed up by the employees. The goals for the project include creating security and stability, improved health, independence, relationship building and reducing crime, as well as long-term societal goals such as improving the use of resources, better coordination between different services, and more.
