MAP's environmental policy
MAP Architects aims to create sustainable architecture from the way we work to the way we run the office. MAP workd actively with the environment, energy and sustainability as an integral part of the creative process in all projects, and try to implement sustainable design solutions into both planning and building details.
The many environmental choices are combined with solutions of high architectural quality and durability - from re-use of old buildings and building parts, preserving historic value and choosing materials that age beautifully.
Good building design is always based on sustainable ideas such as compact building form, effective plans and facades that optimize daylight into the interiors.
In both renovation and new build projects, MAP works with a holistic approach in collaboration with the client and technical team, and aims to choose both environmentally friendly materials and adding the right technical solutions for ventilation and insulation best serving the individual project.
We work continuously to develop our expertise in sustainability and keep ourselves updated on the latest technological and environmental knowledge.

As Architects, we have a unique opportunity to make society more sustainable, and we endorse the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We will achieve these both in the short and long term, both internally in the company and by incorporating them within our projects. We work primarily with 4 categories:
