The old college is a listed building. The new extension to the college uses the same materials for the educational wing whilst introducing wooden paneling on the new sports center. In this way education and sport is visually different. The new extension completes the college as an enclosed building with its own courtyard and at the same time allows for a small opening towards the West, the city park and the Mjøsa lake beyond.
