jevnaker secondary school

rehab and newbuild

The school is part of a larger complex that includes a multi-purpose hall, swimming pool, and a large athletics facility. The administration areas are being optimized, existing classroom wings will be demolished, and new grade-level areas with dedicated group rooms, toilets, and classrooms will be organized around a common space and a library. All specialized rooms such as workshops, art and crafts, and science will have improved logistics and be co-located. Additionally, all corridors and stair connections are currently not very functional, so measures to reduce the area will also be implemented in this area. Environmental considerations include minimizing space utilization, heating efficiency, reducing CO2 footprint, and constructing the new buildings using solid wood.

Client: Jevnaker Municipality
