The building consist of 28 independent residential units and 12 care homes. The main idea was to create a sense of identity by designing a courtyard-shaped care center. At the same time each corner of the building opens up towards the nature and views beyond. One of the intentions was to create a sense of place by allowing close contact between the nursing home and the residential units. The wooden exterior with its dark color and light painted window details is a reference to the old tared and painted farm buildings in the area.
