Drammen, Svelvik and Nedre Eiker municipalities merged in 2020. We were asked to redesign and consider how the existing old town hall, designed by architect Niels Eckhoff in 1871,  could house the new larger municipality with all the different meeting rooms. Being a listed building, designed in a neo romantic renaissance style, we had to take into consideration the way we treated existing rooms and decorations and at the same time fit in new and modern equipment. We were also asked to consider a modern Council hall in the backyard of the old listed town hall.
